I hope all the mommies out there had a fabulous Mother's Day weekend. We had a wonderful weekend of sunshine, warm weather, friends, nature and yummy food. What more could a mommy ask for?
My friend, Melissa, came over with her kids for a few hours on Saturday morning. The kids had a great time playing, making mischief, and lunching together on the deck.

It's so sweet to see my littlest baby starting to make his own friendships. Sigh...
Saturday evening, we relaxed with breakfast for dinner, by candlelight in a thunderstorm. The piece de resistance were the yummy Surprise Corn Muffins, recipe courtesy of Lisa. The jelly surprise in our muffins was muscadine jelly from our local farmer's market. Divine!

Paul took the kids to the woods for a secret field trip on Saturday. They left with empty lunchboxes in hand, so I was a little confused.

I couldn't have asked for better Mother's Day cards. They are growing ever more lovely, if that's possible, now that the flowers are drying out a bit. I love them!

That is the lovliest gift....right up my alley for a favorite! Such creative little ones you have. I LOVE that little owl shirt (it's an owl isn't it?). I'm glad you liked the muffins, thanks for the link to.
ReplyDeleteBTW, white wine or champagne vinegar. I would use white wine vinegar with the rosemary.
Thanks, Lisa! It is an owl shirt...organic cotton, printed with leaves. :) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24496972
