springtime in London

Although we are now back, safe and sound, at home, I had to dedicate an entire post to the experience of springtime in London. I was surprised by the cold gray that still inhabited the spring of late March across the pond. But what beautiful flowers, gardens, ponds, lakes, and green everywhere. Here is series of photos that I wanted to share which really whispered *spring* to me.

If anyone knows what kind of scraggly bush that is in the dusk of the last picture, I'd love to know. What a beautiful, if abnormally twisted, fascination it was to us at the Diana Memorial Playground.

  3. is it a tree? it might be a type of willow tree. My dad has one, a curly willow or something? Anyway, glad you're back safe & sound! I hope it doesn't take too long to shake the jet lag...

  8. I enjoyed following your trip to London, glad you had a good time, It's a shame that Spring has been a bit late here in England this year, but you packed so much in.

I can also help you with the bush as we have one in our garden too - it's a Corkscrew Hazel (Corylus contorta)

    Happy Easter.
