fabric art

We went downtown to the local gallery hop this weekend and while we were there visited one of our favorite local artists, who made the little birdie print I posted about a while back. She was kind enough to give each of the big kids a few of her scraps and cut-outs to make their own prints this weekend. She also let us buy a few of her frames at cost so now we have a set of kid-made fabric prints to go alongside our birdie print.

Elizabeth's strawberries

Philip's fish

Paulie's whale

This was a fun project to work on! We don't often work on something specifically to fit within a small framed area so it was an interesting task for them to fit their ideas "inside the box" so to speak.
