makin' cookies

Finn and I went over to our friends' house today for a gingerbread cookie-makin' play date. Of course, once we got there, Finn instantly became too wrapped up in all the new toys to bother with helping make cookies.

So his friend, Grady, industriously smoothed flour all over the counter to keep the dough from sticking.

And Finn decided he was ready to help for a bit.

Finn and Grady cut lots and lots of cookies.

Then the wooden trucks and trains came out.

So goes makin' cookies with a pair of almost 3 year olds. :)

  1. Sounds like they did what they needed to do. And I am sure the eating of the cookies was done with glee. :)

  2. Lovely Joy:) Looks like they had such a great time, working with the dough, playing with wooden trucks and trains... I am sure they enjoyed eating the cookies too:)
    Have a great week:)

  3. I'm so glad you got those pictures! We had a lot of fun!

  4. I sure do love seeing what your little one is up to. I kinda miss having a little one around the house... sigh... ;)

  5. So cute! I agree with what Tammy said. It's so fun getting to see what Finn is up to. I miss that age.

  6. What fun!!! I love the wooden train set!

  7. Cutting those shapes is the best part! Sounds similar to my kiddo-play most of the time and then CUT SHAPES!

  8. sounds like a perfectly sweet day : )
    i love the wooden train!

  9. Three year olds really are super fun--what a great time!
