Outside: in haiku

Leaves laddering up
growing toward the wide blue sky
waving in the wind.

A purple flower
so beautiful and quiet,
sitting in the shade.

Crepe myrtle blossoms
weighting branches toward the ground,
fragrant evening heat.

If you have any outdoor adventures to share, please feel free to link up below.  I'll be sharing our outdoor adventures all week in this space to celebrate our virtual book club's reading of Last Child in the Woods.

  1. Nice work Blaser clan! And I LOVE that first photos! That needs to be a postcard.

  2. Lovely photographs
    Lovelier words thought and shared
    Beautiful haiku.

(my haiku response is pretty awful) :)

What a wonderful activity. I must really encourage more poetry with our boys.

I love to hear what you think!
