Yarn Along

This week's Yarn Along finds me working on the same less-than-exciting dishcloths as last week.  I just cast off the last one yesterday though, so onward and upward, maybe to something more interesting than an apparatus for scrubbing dishes!  I also picked up Joel Salatin's Folks This Ain't Normal again.  I'm not sure why I ever set it down to begin with (something shiny rolled by).  It's just as fascinating and enlightening in the 6th chapter as it was in the 1st.  And it makes me want to go buy a farm...and chickens...and cows...and a cistern, root cellar, and whole host of other things.  Very motivating, indeed!

  2. At least you made some bright cheery cloths to keep the dishes clean.
    Enjoy the reading.

  3. Dishcloths are always my in-between-projects knitting project.

And I want that book! We do what we can on our 2 acres here, but we are building on 34, and Salatin is my guru. I was just talking about him to my dad the other day...

  5. That book sounds very interesting and just went on my "must-read-list"! As for the dishcloths, I find them very exciting =) But I'm a total dishcloth enthusiast and was just thinking that it's high time for casting on a new one.

  6. Your dishcloths are so bright and cheery. About once a year I go on a dishcloth binge and try to knit a bunch...somehow not many of them stay in the house though. I feel like I give them all away as last minute presents or something. HAppy Wednesday! (and thanks for your pregnant mama comment last week...it made me feel much better to know it happens to the best of us.)

  8. Dishcloths are great! I love all those bright colors. I really need to start knitting some with all that cotton I have amassed over the last couple of years.

  10. There is nothing wrong with the humble dishcloth. In fact, I'm thinking I should knit a few more of them for myself.

I'm also dreaming of the day when I can own chickens. Alas, my neighborhood is not zoned for them. :-(

  13. That does sound like my kind of book. (Smiling at the idea that you were distracted by a shiny object rolling by).
