Candlemas, Yarn Along and random bits of joy

Happy Candlemas! No snow day this year, but we celebrated by eating our pancake breakfast by candlelight again. Finn created the centerpiece. Didn't he do a lovely job?

I love this sweet little time of centering on the holiday, this middle of the cold, dark winter, before heading off to our routines.

As for the Yarn Along, I'm still working on the sweater for myself. It's coming along nicely. My reading for this week is Love, Charleston for my book club.

And my bits of joy from this week are the appearance of the tomten on our nature table,

Finn's excitement over the needle-felted hearts (also the picture he chose for his calendar page this month),

a Candlemas card sitting above our nature table (available here if you'd like to print one),

Finn's sweet table centerpiece,

and watching Elizabeth and Paulie skate their little hearts out at the rink.

  9. I love candle light! The only good thing about today being another snowy/rainy yucky gray day is that the light from the candle shines brighter! :-) Your sweater is going to be gorgeous!!

  10. Yea! Candlemas and winter half over! Wonder if all this snow will be gone by the first day of Spring? Probably not, but that's okay.

Your sweater looks wonderful. I can't wait to see it finished.

I haven't been roller skating in years, lots of years. We only have ice skating around here. And the whole family enjoys that!

Elizabeth and Rebekah (Rebecca) two beautiful names. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

    Blessings, Elizabeth
