Yarn Along

Sorry that I've been so MIA this week. It's been a busy week and not exactly the fun and fabulous type of busy. Finn started swim lessons. I'm finishing the the taxes, ugh. We've been attending middle school meetings at Elizabeth's school. And I'm spending much time in the garden, or rather the pots on the deck. (Well, ok, that part has been fun and fabulous!)

But without further ado, I've gotten further on the lacy cabled scarf I began a couple of weeks ago. The texture and weight of the scarf is so nice, even though the cables can be hard to see. I hope the intended recipient likes it.

I'm also still reading the same books, although I'm nearly finished with A Knitter's Home Companion. Radical Homemakers is really good so far. This is such a fascinating topic for me. I'll have more to share about it in the coming days (and weeks), but if you are interested in joining our virtual book club for a discussion on the topic, please do!

Last but not least, a little photo of my spring-y socks, finished just in time for 2 little cold snaps. I'm happy to have a chance to wear them once or twice before the weather is warm for the season. :)

    1. It is the Ruca Solid by Araucania, which is a sugar cane fiber. Very shiny and soft. :)
